Graduate Students, Plagiarism

My take on patchwriting and plagiarism

The journal Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship recently published a viewpoint article by me on the phenomenon of plagiarism in engineering graduate work. My article is titled: “A Reflection on Plagiarism, Patchwriting, and the Engineering Master’s Thesis” and it is in the Summer 2010 issue. You may find it an interesting take on this subject.  I used to be much more judgmental about this until I began reading the literature and seeing that the subject was much more complex than I had originally realized.
