Google Patents now allows PDF downloads

I just noticed this morning that Google Patents now has a “Download PDF” button (see example here) located right under the “Read this Patent” in their records for every U.S. patent.  So you no longer need the Pat2PDF site to convert patents to PDF’s for you.  This “Download PDF” function seems to work great – it pretty much instantly downloads the patent to your computer for printing and reading.

  1. Another site that may be of interest is http://www.asitri.com. You can search for patents and get the abstracts for all the hits in addition to pdf conversion.
