Information Literacy lecture – Thursday October 4th

This Thursday evening, I will be giving a lecture on “Information Literacy for Engineers” from 6:30-7:30pm in Lecture Room 3226 Kohrmann Hall, on the Main Campus of WMU. Topics covered will include definitions of information literacy, why it is necessary, where information fits in the engineering design process, and the types of engineering information sources that are out there. I hope you will either let your students know about this (if you are a faculty member) or stop by (if you are a student). This lecture is part of the College of Engineering program’s STEP lectures for first-year engineering students.
